Vaugelas Pierre, years removed from his family and his homeland, returned to Haiti in 1975 to start a lifelong mission. Despite immeasurable poverty and corruption, and several natural disasters, Pierre sought to change the community of La Croix through his determination and unshakeable faith. Together with his wife and an international group of volunteers, the La Croix Haiti Mission have fed and housed countless families, helped thousands of children find education, and given an entire generation a reason to hope.
